Biography

Minna Auguste Frieda Fritscher was born 13 Oct 1882 and baptized 5 Nov 1882 in Plau, Mecklenburg, Germany (Plau parish), child of Heinrich Johann Christian Fritscher & Wilhelmine Christiane Schubert^[1].^[2][3]

Minna married Wilhelm Walther Schulze 24 Nov 1906 in Berlin, Germany, three years after her daughter's birth. Noted on Frieda's birth record is the fact of Minna's marriage and that Frieda's surname would be Schulze from that point on.^[4][5]

Walter, Minna, and Frieda Schulze (previously residing in Rixdorf), left Hamburg, Germany 5 Aug 1911 on the ship "Pennsylvania" of the Hamburg-Amerika shipping line to New York.^[6]

Minna died 13 Mar 1964 in San Francisco, California.^[1][7] Her death notice reads:

SCHULZE -- March 13, 1964, Minna A. Schulze, dearly loved mother of Mrs. Frieda H. Lockmer, Sioux City, Iowa.

Friends my call at Halsted & Co., 1123 Sutter St., March 14 until 10 p.m. Services and interment, Sioux City, Iowa.
