Linda, do you happen to speak any French or other languages? Would you check out our languages template and add it to your biography? For example you might add
{{ Languages | en | fr-3 }}
to the top of your biography if you speak English natively and advanced French, or you could use de-4 to specify near-native German or ru-1 for basic Russian, etc. It really helps to know who speaks all the different languages used on WikiTree!
The email we just sent has helpful links to get you started.
WikiTree is different from other genealogy websites because our goal is to create one big family tree with ONE PROFILE PER PERSON. This means we all work together on our shared ancestors.
When you confirm your email address, youll be given an opportunity to volunteer to help document our collective family history. Use the Tags and comments to tell us about your genealogical interests. It can be a name, like SMITH, or a place, like AUSTRALIA. Be sure to click the "Enter Tag(s) and Volunteer" button when you finish!
After you volunteer, one of us will be by to confirm your membership. Then you'll be able to add your family!
