Excerpts from 24 Feb 1912 Obituary - Theodocia Gale, daughter of Richard Gale & Amelia Buckhout, was born 27 May 1827, at Borodino, Onondaga, NY and was united in marriage 20 Aug 1850, with Selim Darling, the ceremony being solomized at Apalachin, Tioga, NY. Her moother died 12 Apr 1879 at Jackson, Michigan and her father died 26 Apr 1869. Mr & Mrs Selim Darling moved to Flint, MI in 1873 and came to Petoskey in 1878. Mrs Darling's husband died in 1904, and two daughters have preceded her in death. L.S. Darling, her son, is a member of the seed firm of Darling & Beaban, one of the principal industries of Petoskey. The son and a sister in NY are the only surviving relatives of Mrs Darling.
