Reginald was born on the 29th January 1897 and christened on the 23rd May 1897 at St Aubyn's Church, Devonport, Devon, the son of William Augustus Gallehawk (1863 - 1909) a dockyards man, and Agnes Ann (Williams) Gallehawk (1863 - 1906). They were living at 18 Market Square, Devonport.[1][2]
1901 Census on the 31st March 1901 Reginald was living at 2 Granby Row, Devonport, Devon with his parents William and Agnes shown as Annie, and their children Alice, Elsie and Dora. Agnes' widowed father Peter Hursk Williams was also living there.[3]
1911 Census on the 2nd April 1911 Reginald was an inmate at the Mile End Mission, Dr. Barnardo's Home, Leoplold House, 199 Burdett Road, Mile End, London.[4]
Reginald died of wounds on the 17th June 1916 aged 19 in France, Western European Theatre. He was a rifleman in the Royal Rifle Corp, 1st Battalion, service number R/17595. Reginald was buried at the St Sever Cemetery, Rouen, France.[5][6]
