Birth John was born abt 1821-1825 in Stirling, Stirlingshire, Scotland, United Kingdom. John was the son of Robert and Emilia Galloway ^{[1][2] [3]} (Born Scott).

Marriage John married Jane Thompson.

Immigration John, age 30, Farm Laborer, arrived on 16 Jun 1855 in New South Wales, having left from Casthmasadam, County Wickow, Ireland on Golden Era. The record states that he was born in Kilpatrick, Stirling, son of Robert and Emma, who were both still living in Kilpatrick. He is meeting a brother Thomas, who already lives in the Colony. His wife Jane Galloway, age 28, was also born in Kilpatrick, Stirling, daughter of George and Elizabeth Thompson, both of whom have died. Their daughter Jane, age 5, died on the voyage. ^[4][3]
