He was a carriage maker and saddler at Woodstock, New Brunswick.
He married in 1838. Enoch B. Gallop, Parish of Wakefield and Mary Burpee of Douglas, York Co., by Thomas Saunders, Baptist Minister. Witnessed by Edward Bartlett, Hannah Jewett and Benjamin Jewett. [1] He was enumerated on the 1851 Census as Enoch Gallop, husband, age 35, boot and shoe maker. In the same household is Mary (wife), George Howard (son), Edward Bartlett (son), Lydia Ann (daughter), Zebulun Burpee (son), Louisa (daughter).[2]
He married again in 1858. "Enoch B. Gallop, of Wakefield and Miss Eleanor Patterson of York County." [3]
He died February 22, 1886. [4]

George Gray Diary, on the occasion of Enoch Gallop's death on Feb 24, 1886, says age 70. This would place Enoch's birth 1815-1816. [6]
There is a burial at Lower Knoxford Cemetery, with a gravestone that is inscribed "Enoch B. Gallupe, died Feb. 23, 1886. Ae. 72 Yrs." [7] Previously, there was a memorial for Enoch Gallup in Victoria Corner Cemetery, as referenced on findagrave. However, that memorial has been merged with the Lower Knoxford memorial. [8]
