Biography
John Stirling Ganong was born on May 2, 1887 in Snider Mountain, Studholm, Kings, New Brunswick, Canada, son of James Henry Ganong (1848–1930) and Hannah Matilda Howe (1859–1927).
Stirling had a sister, Hannah Gertrude Ganong (1889–1967).
Stirling married Mary Lillian Sharp (born on June 8, 1892 in Collina, Studholm; daughter of Newton Sharp and Mary Lavina (Kierstead) Sharp). Their known daughter was Jean Muriel Ganong (1916–2003).
Stirling died on June 26, 1969 in Sussex, Kings, aged 82. He was buried in Snider Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery, Snider Mountain, Kings County, New Brunswick.[1] [2]
