John Stirling Ganong was born on May 2, 1887 in Snider Mountain, Studholm, Kings, New Brunswick, Canada, son of James Henry Ganong (1848–1930) and Hannah Matilda Howe (1859–1927).
Stirling died on June 26, 1969 in Sussex, Kings, aged 82. He was buried in Snider Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery, Snider Mountain, Kings County, New Brunswick.[1][2]
