Fay W Gardner, age 95, of Reedsburg, died on Friday, Sept 30, 2011 at the Reedsburg Area Senior Life Center. He was born on Oct 20, 1915 in LaValle, the son of Arthur and Ruby (Good) Gardner.

Fay farmed in the Town of Westfirld and the Town of Reedsburg for 19 years. He later worked at the Dept of Natural Resources for 27 years until his retirement. Following his retirement, Fay mowed lawns and shoveled sidewalks. He also enjoyed taking people around where needed, attending card parties and making trips to Ho-Chunk Casino.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie; an infant son, Harold in 1946; his son-in-law, Jack Ganser; six brothers, Harold, Lawrence, Lyle, Raymond, Norman and Robert; as well as three sisters, Lucille Roh, Olive Banbury and Eleanor Ingles.

Survivors include two daughters, Donna Faye Ganser of Jefferson and Deloris (Howard) Jaack of Kingman, AZ; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild; a sister, Joyce Haas of Elk Grove, CA; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

Interment will be in Green Wood Cemetery at a later date.
