Biography

When John Garland was born in 1761 in Louisa, Virginia, his father, Nathaniel, was 33 and his mother, Elizabeth, was 29. He married Elizabeth "Lucy" Gordon on October 15, 1790, in his hometown. They had seven children in 20 years. He died in October 1836 in Jasper, Georgia, having lived a long life of 75 years.
