Biography

Parrish Garner lived in Appalachia, in Tennessee.

Parrish was born to Vincent Garner Sr. and Susannah Howard about 1798 in Tennessee (per censuses). Alternative birth states are North Carolina (where his parents married) and Kentucky (where he married), per many unsourced trees. His middle name is often shown as Palmore, without a source.

Parish passed away between 1860 and 1870, probably in Arkansas, based on his absence from his wife's 1870 census (source below).

Marriages

Parrish P. Garner married twice. First: Parrish married Patience Williams on 26 Feb 1817 in Pulaski County, Kentucky[1] The bondsman was shown as Frederick Williams, possibly the father of Patience.

Second: Following the death of his first wife, Parrish married Jane Chapman on 6 November 1848 in Murray County, Georgia[2].
