Marian Doylene Garner was born January 13, 1930, in Sheridan, Arkansas, to Charles and Geneva Mae Stevenson Garner. She was raised in Pine Bluff and graduated from Pine Bluff High School in 1948. Following graduation, she became a licensed cosmetologist. She married the love of her life, Raleigh Wooley on December 17, 1948. She was an active member in the Telephone Pioneers of America, and First Baptist Church of White Hall. She enjoyed volunteering for the Salvation Army, American Red Cross and Special Olympics. Her favorite hobbies included sewing, cooking, reading, gardening, watching her beloved hummingbirds and playing with her grandchildren.
