Harry was born in Arkansas in 1906 to Harlow Garrett and Anna Williams. By 1930 he moved to Kansas and married when he was around 29. They had at least one daughter. A 1936 City Directory lists them in Oklahoma, but by 1940, they had returned to Kansas. That Census shows he had completed a year of college.
He served in WW II in the Navy and at some point might have lived in Rhode Island (where his wife got her social security number). Harry passed away in 1983 at 77 years old in Kansas.
