Elizabeth Ann Gasson (married name McGuinness) was born in 1879 in Tarraville, Victoria, Australia, the daughter of Elizabeth (Jessep) Gasson and Edward Gasson.^[1]

She married John Edward McGuinness in 1899 in Victoria.^[2] They had 13 children.^{[citation needed]}

Elizabeth died on 11 April 1930 in Oakleigh, Victoria at the age of 49.^[3] Her remains were buried at Springvale Cemetery.^[4]
