Research Notes

Alexander's first name on his baptism record is given as "Ellick" whether this was short for Alexander, and given as "Alick" but spelt as Ellick is unknown. On all other records throughout his life his first name has been spelt as Alexander. Also his parents surname has been spelt as Gatly (no "e") however, once again, all of Alexander's records show the surname as being spelt "Gatley" - Heneker-11 9 Jan 2024
