Biography
Madeleine was born on 10 August 1778 in Grésigny-Sainte-Reine and baptised the same day. She was the daughter of Jean Gaudin, wine grower, and Marie Anne Lapipe his wife. The Godparents were François Moulot and Magdelaine Demoine (cousin?).[1]
Pierre and Madeleine married on 19 February 1798 (1 ventôse an 6) in Grésigny-Sainte-Reine. Pierre Sonnois was born in Grésigny on 20 March 1772, his father was François of the same place, a wine grower.
Madeleine Gaudin was born at Grésigny on 11 August 1778, the daughter of Jean Gaudin, wine grower of Grésigny and Marianne Lapipe.[2]
Pierre Sonnois (63) and his wife Madeleine née Gaudin (57) in the 1836 census, Grésigny-Sainte-Reine. Living with them were their recently married son and daughter in law François (37) and Claudine (29).[3]
Madeleine, widow of Pierre, died on the 11 October 1858, at her house in Grésigny, aged 80. Her 59 year old son François appeared at the declaration.[4]
