Harlan was born Dec. 25, 1919, in Maple Hill, Kansas, to Benjamin George and Nora Wayne Dishman. [1]
He had three brothers, Earl George, Gene George; and Charles George and four sisters, Martha George, Ella George, Mary George. and Betty George. [1] [2]
He married Irene L. Headlee on March 3, 1942, in Paris, Tennessee. [1]
Harlan and Irene had two sons: Ronald George and Gary Eldon George. [1]
He was a base policeman at McClellan Air Force Base in Sacramento, Calif., for 36 years. [1]
He was a member of the Central Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Sacramento, Calif. [1]
He served in the Army from 1941 to 1945. [1] He was a PFC in the US ARMY WORLD WAR II. [2]
Harlan L. George, 83, died April 18, 2003, at a North Highland, California hospital. [1]
Graveside services were at Mount Hope Cemetery in Topeka, Kansas. [1] Harlan is buried at Mount Hope Cemetery, Topeka, Shawnee County, Kansas in the Plot: Singing Tower. [2]
