Biography

Betty joined the WACs during WWII. While stationed in MacDill Army Air Field in Tampa, she met Dan Hobby.

After their discharge from service, they were married in 1946 and spent the next 50 years together in St. Petersburg. She raised 4 children, worked at Maas Bros. and loved the beach. After retiring, they took several trips to Europe and lived a comfortable life with many grandchildren close by.

After her husband died in 1996, she returned to her native Rochester and enjoyed the company of her 4 sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.^[1]
