Biography

Josiah, then a resident of Somers in Hartford County, Connecticut, married JLydia Huntley of neighboring Enfield on 21 Mar 1778.^[1][2] They had six daughters, all born in Somers.

Location Names - Somers, Connecticut:

The town of Somers was originally the eastern part of Enfield in Hartford County, Connecticut Colony. Somers was officially incorporated and named in 1734. On 13 Oct 1785, Tolland County was formed from the eastern portion of Hartford County and the western portion of Windham County, with the town of Somers becoming part of Tolland County, while Enfield remained in Hartford County.^[10][11]
