Daughter of Zachariah Gibson and Elizabeth "Betsy" McGee. She had an affair with a man named Tazewell Madison Gibson and had two children with him (he was married to someone else). She also had an affair with a Mr. Ramey and had a child by him. Curiously, these three little boys were farmed out to other people to raise...yet in death, they were all buried here, (Travis Combs-Ramey Cemetery Soft Shell, Knott County, Kentucky, USA) in the same cemetery.Kate married Elbert Collins around 1856. She had several children with him. After she died, it says that Elbert married her sister Jane, but that seems incorrect since Elbert died in 1905 -5 year before Catherine.
