Biography
Charley was a car mechanic of considerable talent. This mechanical ability has been passed down in the family, and can now be seen in his great grandson Adam Justin Gilley, who can fix his own car. Charley was a handsome man who loved to dress up in fine suits of clothes. His wife said that during their courtship, he sat on the fence with his guitar and serenaded her.
