Biography

Walter Ray Gilley was born on 12 January 1914 in Woodburn, Union County, Tennessee. ^[1] He was the son of Charlie Gilley and Hallie Cope. ^{[2] [3]} He married Lucile Goodman on 02 July 1932 in DeKalb County, Tennessee. ^{[4] [5]} He married Margaret R. Ralston on 26 October 1948 in Christian County, Kentucky. ^[6] He married Eleanor Henderson (Harned). Harned passed away in 1967. She survived Walter and shares the Harned marker. Walter passed away on 28 January 2000 in Christian County, Kentucky. ^[7] He was interred in Glenwood Cemetery, Elkton, Todd County, Kentucky. ^[1]
