I believe I found Martha (Patsy) in the 1880 census living near several of her children.
Her son Jesse Brown Bryan is on Image 840, p664B, while she's on image 838, p663A.
Her first father-in-law Jerimiah Pate is on Image 837, p662B.
Her son Lawson T Bryant lower on the same page, just three households away.
Her daughter Millie married to Handy Peters is on the same image 837 p662B, they live just one household apart,
Martha died on 21 October 1899 and was buried in 1899 in Wicksburg, Houston, Alabama, United States.[4]
Other Information
Martha's daughter Martha Bryant died on 5 October 1922 in Bibb City, Muscogee, Georgia, United States.[5]
Fathers Name: Tom Peters born Uk
Mothers Name: Martha Gilly born Ga (G has darker writing, almost making it look like a T)
Martha's son Dan died (age 65) on 27 March 1930 in Graceville, Jackson, Florida, United States.[6]
Martha Gilly is listed as his mother on his death certificate.
James Bryan is listed as his father (hard to read).
Patsy's son John Andrew Jackson Bryan died on 20 March 1939 in De Funiak Springs, Walton, Florida, United States.[7]
Patsy Gilly is listed as his mother the death certificate
Jim Bryan is listed as the father.
Research Notes
Based on her daughter Martha's death certifice, was Martha also married to a Tom Peters?
In the 1870 Census[8] Her first father-in-law Jeremiah Pate in Geneva County is living near the same location as he did in the 1880 census, the Hughes are still their neighbors, though Fredonia is living with her mother and father and hasn't met Jessie Brown Bryan yet. Still can't find Martha (Patsy) yet.
In the 1870 census, her daughter Elda Josephine's future husband is living with his father in Dale County.[9]
I reviewed the 1870 census for Santa Rosa County, Florida, could not see any Bryan's in that census.
