In the 1935 census Hazel Gilley (age 11) was the daughter of John Gilley in Deer Lake, Newfoundland and Labrador.[1]
The family of the late Hazel Pearce are saddened to announce her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 in her 88th year.[2]
Leaving to mourn are her children Betty Warren (Eldon), Philip (Judith), Pearl Slauenwhite (Gary), daughter-in-law Lillian P.; grandchildren Jamie (Dana), Patti (Bradley), Paul (Trina), Philip (Melanie), Wendy Lee (Matt), Neil (Jessica), Betty- Joy (Neil), Paul, Judy (Kevin), Angela (Shawn), Joni (Anthony); 22 great grandchildren; sisters: Venus Thomas (Allan), Florence Bowman, Louise Jefferies; sister-in-law Daisy Pearce; special caregiver Joan Williams and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Predeceased by her husband Frederick, son Thomas, parents John and Elizabeth Gilley, sisters Sadie Thomas, Annie Sparks, Betty Spracklin, Minnie Easton, Renee Gilley; brothers Philip Gilley, Milton Gilley.
Family and friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive on Friday, November 1st from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. Funeral service will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive on Saturday, November 2nd at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at the Pentecostal Cemetery on Wight’s Road.
