At Robert's death Chaney was listed in the probate inventory in 1821.

Chaney was distributed to Susan Cade Alford widow of Robert Gilliam. Susan married Thomas Johnson Winston in 1824. Chaney would have been counted among the Winston slaves in 1830 and recorded in Greene County, Georgia.
Chaney would have been counted among the Winston slaves in 1840, when the Thomas Johnson Winston family was residing in Troup County Georgia. This would be true again in 1850.
Chaney would have been counted among those enslaved by Thomas Johnson Winston, in West Point, Troup, Georgia, USA in the 1860 census.
She was mentioned in the will of Thomas Johnson Winston. The will was written in 1855 and probated in 1864.
