Jannet, born about 1845, was the daughter of John Gillies and Mary Bain. She married James Findley McEvoy in 1877.^[1]

She died in 1916 in Toronto, Ontario.^[2] Janet is buried with her husband James in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto^[3]
