Biography

Ada was born in 1876, the daughter of Patrick Gilligan and Mary Vane.^[1]

She married Francis William Stiffe at Cobar in 1898.^[2]

Ada and Francis had three children: James Frances Burrows Stiffe born 1899 at Dubbo, NSW,^[3] (who died on 8 October 1969),^[4] Emily R Stiffe born 1901 at Dubbo, NSW.^[5] and Eileen M Stiffe born 1904 at Warren, NSW.^[6]

Francis Stiffe died on 15 September 1931 at Prahran, Vic,^[7] and Ada married Herbert (Bert) J. Stroud in Sydney, NSW in 1934.^[8]

She died in 1948 at Sutherland. NSW.^[9]
