Gary Giovanni is a part of US Black heritage.

Gary Ann Giovanni was born on 2 Sep 1940 in Knoxville, Knox County, Tennessee. She was the daughter of Gus Giovanni and Yolande Watson.[1] After Gary's younger sister Nikki was born, their family moved to Cincinnati, Ohio,[2][3] although Gary and Nikki still spent summers in Knoxville with their maternal grandparents.[4]

Gary married Joe Black, a former professional baseball player, on 28 Nov 1964 in Lockland, Hamilton County, Ohio.[1] They had one son.[4] Gary filed for divorce in 1967.[5]

Gary worked for SeaLand in California for a number of years. Her mother lived with her in California after her father's death in 1982. Gary and her mother later moved to Blacksburg, Virginia where her sister Nikki lived.[4][3]

Gary died on 10 Aug 2005 at Montgomery Regional Hospital in Blacksburg, Virginia.[4] She was buried in Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati, Ohio.[6]
