Birth:
- Some family trees suggest that Clarissa Ann Glazier was born in 1788 in SC to Capt. John Glazier and Elizabeth Edwards, but no records have confirmed this information.
Marriage:
- On March 26, 1809, Clarissa Ann Glazier married Jesse George in Jasper County, GA. [1]
- Clarissa and Jesse had two children, Margaret, born in 1810, and James Henry, born in 1812. [2]
Death:
- Clarissa died between 1812 and 1816. Her husband, Jesse George, remarried on February 1, 1816 to Nancy Buttrill in Jasper County, GA. Clarissa's burial place is not known. [3]
Research Notes
Many family trees merge Clarissa Ann Glazier George with Faithy George. Clarissa died before her husband remarried in 1816, while Faithy lived into the 1870s. Clarissa had only two children before her death. [2]
Faithy's husband died before 1843 when his probate was filed in Muscogee County, GA. Clarissa's husband remarried after her death and lived until 1861. He died in Upshur County, TX.
