Biography
George was born in 1862. He is the son of George Godley and Eliza Willoughby.[1]
George Henry Godley and Rose Ann Bingham married on 11 April 1887 at Kimberworth, Yorkshire.[2]

George passed away in 1940, age 77. [4]

I cannot find any evidence of him dying in 1935. I have however found a death registration in 1940 for a George Henry Godley, age 77 at Worksop. That is the right age and in the right area. I feel almost certain that it is him, so I have added that source as well.
I have also found him on the 1939 register, so that seems to confirm the 1940 is the correct date of death.
