Biography

When Maria Elisabeth Goetz was born in 1741 in Germany, her father, Johann, was 21, and her mother, Maria, was 20. She married Johann Georg Schäffer on April 10, 1760, in Upper Saucon, Pennsylvania. They had nine children in 19 years. She died in 1776 at the age of 35.
