Miss Lou Goff.
At her home in Parkersburg Miss Lou Goff, a former life-long resident of Grafton, died of a complication of diseases incident to advanced years at the age of 76 years. Miss Goff had been in ill health for the past four years since receiving a bad fall at her home here. She passed away at 10 o’clock this morning in her Parkersburg home. The body will be brought here on the noon accommodation train Sunday and taken to her former residence on Bluemont street. From there the funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon by Rev. Leland Jerome Powell, of the First Baptistc [sic] hurch [sic]. She resided in Grafton practically all her life, only leaving here about a year ago to make her home with her nephew, Joseph Shaw, in Parkersburg. She is survived by her nephew and two nieces, Miss Rena Shaw and Mrs. Fannie Toed, of Los Angeles, Cal. She was well known to the older residents of the city, among whom she had a host of friends who will regret her passing.––Friday’s Grafton Sentinel.
Miss Goff was a sister of George Goff, of Kingwood, and of Mrs. Joseph Benson, of near Brandonville. She was known by many of our older citizens who regret to learn of her demise.
