Carpenter Falls Through Ceiling.
SHEFPARTON, Thursday. — Jumping to
save his life when a roof on which he
was working collapsed, Charles Goonan,
a carpenter, of Benalla, landed on a
plaster ceiling, and fell to the ground
floor. The building was In course of
reconstruction. Goonan sustained two
broken ribs and injuries to his chest and
arm.

CARPENTER’S FALL THROUGH ROOF
Feeling the roof on which he was working collapsing, Charles Goonan, carpenter, tried to save himself at the Shepparton Motor Garage on Wednesday afternoon. However, he suffered two broken ribs and abrasions to the chest and elbow. Goonan was engaged dismantling the old roof of the garage when the timberwork beneath began to collapse. He jumped to the plaster ceiling of the passage a few feet away, but it collapsed under his weight and he fell to the floor.
