Brian Gore-Booth was born on 23 December 1912. He was the son of Sir Josslyn Augustus Richard Gore-Booth, 6th Bt. and Mary Sibell L'Estrange Malone. He died on 21 January 1940 at age 27, killed in action on board H.M.S. Exmouth. He was educated at Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, Devon, England. He was a literary agent. He gained the rank of Sub-Lieutenant in the Royal Navy. He fought in the Second World War.
