Charles was the husband of Catherine (McNabb) Gormley (abt.1811-1887), who was a widow with children living in Lowell, Massachusetts as of 1870.
It is not known whether he died in Ireland before Catherine moved.
A possible death registration: 7 May 1869 age 64, Omagh SRD. However, pre-1870 deaths require payment to view currently. [1] [2]
Estimated birth date for this profile based on that record - which would be about average for wife born 1811ish.
There were five Charles Gormley in Griffith's Valuation for Tyrone; one of them was at Garvaghullion, Longfield East (north-east of Drumquin). Interestingly there were also Mullins of this townland - possibly connected to Jane (Mullins) McNabb (bef.1820-), an extremely tentative cousin-in-law for Charles's wife?
There were also James Gormley and James Gormley sen. of same townland. However, this lot (21) stays with Charles until 1881 when it goes to Terence, suggesting that may have been a different Charles. (12 years would be a long time for land transfer to happen after a death).
