Walter John Gorski (1921 - 1971)

Biography

Walter was born in 1921. In the 1925 census Walter (age 4) was a son in Buffalo Ward 03, Erie.^[1] In the 1930 census Walter (age 9) was the son of Frank Gorbki at 11 Clifford St, Buffalo, Erie, New York, United States.^[2] In the 1940 census Walter (age 18), New Worker, was the single son of Frank Gorski in Buffalo, Erie, New York.^[3]

Walter J Gorski served in the US Army during World War II. He enlisted on 8 October 1940 and was discharged on 19 November 1941. ^[4] Walter registered for the draft on 14 February 1942 in Buffalo, Erie, New York. He lived on 11 Clifford Street in Buffalo and worked for the Army Air Corps Defense in the Larkin Building on Seneca Street.^[5]

Walter married Patricia Festa on Saturday, 1 October 1949, in Buffalo, New York, United States.^[6] They had obtained a license that week.^[7] In the 1950 census Walter (age 28) was the married head of household in Buffalo, Erie, New York, United States.^[8]

Walter died on 11 February 1971 in Los Angeles County, California.^[9][10] He was buried in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Rowland Heights, Los Angeles County, California, United States.^[11]
