Biography

Julia Gosselin was born in Quebec Canada on Jan. 27,1847 in St-Joseph-de-Beauce, and baptized on January 28th.[1] [2]

Julia has seven siblings. Marie Delvina 1844- Augustin 1850-1928 Etienne 7/15/1850-1941 Rose Delima 5/8/1851- Vitaline 8/29/1856 Marie 3/1859 Sylvie 1860

Julia married Abraham Pare January 8, 1867. [3]

They had seven children Abraham Jr was born in 1868-1924. Julienne was born in 1868-1954. M. Eloise Virginie born in 1871-1930 Cyrille born in 1872-1874 Elise born in 1874-1945 Alphonse Joseph born in 1877-1878 Delphine born in 1883-1977

In the 1900 United States Twelfth Federal Census of Strafford County, City of Rochester, New Hampshire, Abraham Jr was a wood chopper. Delpine was 17 and a Livery Setter, Abraham was 22 and a carpenter, and Elsie was 28 and married to George Solomon age 22, and they all lived together at #88 Mont Street in Rochester. In 1910 Julia and Abraham Sr. had been married 45 years. He was 70 and Julia is 66. Delphine is 26 and Abraham Jr. 41 are still living at a rented home with their parents. Delphine is a sales woman in a dry goods store, and Abraham is a laborer like his father. [5] here's a link to the 1910 census page

In the 1920 census, Julia is now widowed. Abraham died Sept 15th 1918. She is 73, Delphine is 36 and a sales clerk, Abraham Jr. is 51 and a woodchopper at a lumber camp. [6] Here's a link to the 1920 census page

In 1930 at the age of 83 Julia lives with her daughter Delphine who wed Frank Salice on Oct. 12, 1922. [7] here is the link to the 1930 census page

Julia died on July 8, 1933 and was buried in Holy Rosary Cemetery in Rochester, New Hampshire. [8]
