St Mary Savoy in 1689 would have been *after* St Mary le Strand was demolished to build the famous Somerset house. Savoy Chapel would have been used, located just south of the Strand, London.
In 1688, England was broiling, and the Bill of Rights and Glorious Revolution took place. Thomas must have written his will just after King William III deposed King James II, at Brixham [Brixham, Torbay, Devon; 5-Nov-1688]
