Biography
Elizabeth's name and origins are not known other than (likely) born in England. Her maiden name was probably not Gourd; her daughter Elizabeth Haynes married Roger Gourd and remained in England which may have led to this confusion.[1]
As her first known son with Walter Haynes was born in 1621 (John, later Deacon John Haynes), she was probably born before 1600.
Elizabeth emigrated to New England with her family in 1638 on the "Confidence"[1] and died on 15 Jun 1659 in Sudbury, Middlesex, Massachusetts Bay Colony as seen in a scan of the original record where she is listed as "Elizabeth wife of Walter Haynes".[2] Walter's own 1664 burial appears on the same page.
No other records for Elizabeth have yet been found.

There does not appear to be a source for her name. Their daughter Elizabeth married Robert Gourd (see "Walter Haynes of Sutton Mandeville, Wiltshire, England..." free here https://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=wu.89062873237;view=1up;seq=50 where Walter Haynes' will listed Robert Gourd as his son-in-law so that may have led to confusion. I believe this should be Elizabeth Unknown.
