Biography
Born in Greene County in the part that became Cocke in about 1787 (per census of 1850) He moved to Clay County, Missouri some time before 1830, where he is on the census with 2 other adults - a male bet 30 and 39, and a female same age. This 1850 census has Samuel and a Barbara E possibly wife.
His 1 AUG 1850 Will indicates his wife Barbara and several grandchildren.
Comment regarding parents. There is another Samuel son of Thomas who died in Arkansas. Hopefully they aren’t switched.
