Catherine married James Turbott on 20 May 1858 at St Macartan's Cathedral Church, Clogher, County Tyrone, Ireland. [1] Fathers John Graham & James Turbitt
The Turbott family came to New Zealand, James & his wife Catherine with 2 children Mary and John on ship "Ganges" arriving in Auckland 14 February 1865. Auckland Herald (15 Feb 1865) lists "James, Catherine, John & Mary Turbit" on the Ganges after a 'fair passage' of 101 days from London & Cork. 434 passengers - death 2 crew and 56 pass mostly children incl Margaret Jane & Robert Graham - whooping cough
Settled and farmed at Harrisville, north Waikato (now south Auckland).
She passed away in 1919 [2] and was buried at Tuakau, Waikato District, Waikato, New Zealand.[3]
