At Knox Church, Masterton, yesterday. Miss Katherine Olive Graham, eighth daughter of Mrs F. W. Graham, of Masterton, was married to Mr William Compton, only son of Mr Thomas Compton, of Kakara. The bride wore a cream silk chiffon taffeta princess robe, adorned with orange blossoms. The chief bridesmaid was Miss Chrissie Graham (sister of the bride), who wore a brown silk dress with white chiffon hat trimmed with silk, and carried a shepherd's crook. The other bridesmaids were Misses Ivy Graham (sister of the bride) and Iris Compton (sister of the bridegroom), who wore cream serge princess robes and white felt hats, and each carried a Bible. Mr Frank Daysh was best man, and the bride was given away by her brother, Mr Fred Graham. The Rev. Bain MacDonald was the officiating clergyman.[1][2]

The death occurred yesterday at Palmerston North of Mrs Christina Graham, widow of the late Mr Frederick Graham, at the age of 72 years The funeral will leave the residence of Mrs T. Mulholland. 114 Terrace road, Hastings, for the Havelock North cemetery next Sunday at 3.30 p.m.[8]
After a lengthy illness borne with patience and fortitude, there passed away on Thursday last, at the residence of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr and Mrs 0. E. Olsen, 6 Langston Avenue, a lady in the person of Mrs Christina Graham, whose kindly and sympathetic disposition had earned her a wide circle of friends. The late Mrs Graham, who was born at Flockton, Boss-shire, Scotland, in 1856, came to New Zealand with, her parents, Mr and Mrs McKenzie, at an early age and, when only seventeen, married Mr Frederick W. Graham, of Havelock North, who predeceased her some years ago. Since her husband’s death Mrs Graham had resided with various members of her family, and at the time of her death was living with Mr and Mrs Olson. A family of eight daughters and two sons, and eighteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren are left to mourn their loss. The interment will take place at the Havelock North cemetery, in the family plot.[9]
