Lewis Graves was born about 1777 in Maryland, United States, son of John Graves (~1755 - ~1816) and Sarah (Moab) Graves (~1765 - ~1793).
His brother was Zachariah Graves (1782 - 1854). Louis Graves settled in Harrison Township in 1800 and married Sarah Hanson. He as in service during the war of 1812.[1] Their children were:
