Sources: copy of Baptismal and Birth certificates for Fanny Louisa Gray (Gray not Grey) are held by Douglas Edmondson. A copy of her parents marriage certificate is also held, her parents were George and Sarah Jane (Davis) Gray.
I am 1st cousin to Stacy Edmondson's father Fred and his Uncle.
Fanny Louisa Gray met her husband Frederick Richard Edmondson and married him when he returned from Canada to visit family in England in 1912 after his father's death in 1911. His sister Mrs. Ada Annie Margaret (Edmondson) Stephen after the death of their parents became the focal point of the family in Bridlington on account of her brothers having dispersed: Frederick Richard Edmondson had gone to Canada, Victor Harry Edmondson had gone to Argentina, Harold Gratrix Edmondson never settled into a stable life, and elder brother Albert W. E. Edmondson settled in Barry , Wales and led a life at sea as a ship's engineer.
Fanny was an accomplished caterer who lived in London where her father George Gray, a London motor (bus) driver, and her mother Sarah Jane (Davis) Gray lived. Her marriage on 22 Jan 1913 at All Saints, Tufnell Park, Islington, London allowed Fanny to start a family. She travelled with her husband Frederick on the S.S. Celtic to New York in March 1913 and then by train to their home in Estevan, Saskatchewan. With her baking and catering skills she became an admired member and supporter of the Anglican St. Giles Church congregation in Estevan. With the entrepreneurial side to her character, Frances started the Valley View Dairy, a small home business which was possible because the home property was large enough to accommodate horse and cow sheds, and pasturage was available close-by. Fanny is the Baptismal and Birth certificate name. Her grave stone records Frances rather than Fanny. Frances and Fred are my grandparents and William and Jane my great grandparents on my father's side. The Seed family referenced here were from the Preston, Fleetwood area of Lancashire, England.
Fanny's parents were George and Sarah Jane (Davis) Gray.
Is it Frances mother's Maiden name or her husband's mother's maiden name?
Quite uncommon to give Every child the same middle name Obviously they're not letting go of the Seed
