WEDDING BELLS. (1921, July 21). Western Champion (Parkes, NSW : 1898 - 1934), p. 5.http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article113520628 GREEN—TAYLOR St. George's Church, Parkes, was the scene of a quiet, but pretty wedding on July 2nd, when William, fifth son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Green, of "Sherwood," Garland, and Ruby May, fifth daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. Taylor, of "Spring Park," Parkes, were united in the holy bonds of matrimony by Rev. R. Seymour Smith. The bride, who was given away by her father, was daintily attired in a gown of accordeon pleated crepe-de-chine and georgette, hand embroidered. Her embossed tulle veil hung from a circlet of orange blossoms, and she carried a bouquet of cream roses and fern. The bride was attended by her two sisters, Sep. and Doris Taylor, frocked in powder blue georgette, and shell pink voile respectively, each wearing black tulle hats, and carrying bouquets of pink roses, jonquills and ferns, tied with tulle streamers. Mr. T Lobley, cousin of the bridegroom acted as best man, and Mr, S. Taylor, brother of the bride, was groomsman. The bridegroom's gift to the bride was a gold wristlet watch, and to the bride-maids, a gold golf bangle, and circle brooch. As the bride entered the church "The voice that breathed o'er Eden" was played by Mrs. Milthorpe. The happy couple left by the evening train for Sydney, where the honey-moon was spent. The bride travelled in a mole gabardine costume, with a hat to match. Their future home will be at Canowindra. The friends of the bride tendered her a gift tea on the eve of her marriage ,and many dainty and useful gifts were received.
