Biography

Joshua Green was born on October 05, 1764 in Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts. He graduated from Harvard University in 1784. He moved to Wendell, Massachusetts around 1790. He married Mary Moseley (1768-1821) of Westfield, Massachusetts in September 1791. Together, they had two sons, Joshua Green, who graduated from Harvard College in 1818, and Henry Atkinson Green. In 1825, several years after the death of his wife, Mary, he married her younger sister, Nancy Moseley (1779-1856).

Joshua Green become a prominent judge in Wendell, Massachusetts. He served as Selectman, Justice of the Peace, Justice of the Circuit Court, and Representative or Senator in the State Legislature. He passed away on June 16, 1847 in Wendell, Franklin, Massachusetts, United States.
