Thomas was born about 1823 at Stisted, Essex, England[1][2][3] and baptised on the 19th October 1823 at All Saints, Stisted, Essex, England, the son of Thomas Green (shoemaker) and Jane Green of Stisted[4].
On the 5th September 1866, Thomas Green, bachelor, gardener of Stisted, Essex, son of Thomas Green (shoemaker); and Harriet Adams, spinster of Paradise Street, Cambridge, daughter of Charles Adams (bookbinder) were married by banns at St. Andrew the Less, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England[5]
Thomas, Harriet, and their two sons Charles and George emigrated to the United States in 1873 aboard the "City of Antwerp", travelling with Harriet's sister Ann Cotchfer and brother in law John Cotchfer[6]
In 1875, Thomas and Harriet was living at Rochester, Monroe, New York, United States[7]
Thomas died on the 27th January 1886 at Rochester, Monroe, New York, United States and was buried at Mount Hope Cemetery, Rochester, Monroe County, New York, USA[8]

Some trees on Ancestry have Thomas dying on the 26th January 1886 at Rochester, Monroe, New York, USA, based on a death Index for a Thomas Green with no age recorded in the index.
But the image of Thomas & Harriet's gravestone on Findagrave does show Thomas died 1886 aged 60 years.
However, on familysearch, that death in 1886 has been incorrectly attributed to Thomas Green b. 1846 bapt. 1848 (son of Philip Green and Ann Green nee Bradley) at Rochester, Monroe, New York, USA.
