In the 1850 U. S. Census (August 10, 1850), [1] the family was in Owen County, Kentucky. Pascal Green was fifty years old, working as a farmer and had $10,000 in real estate. Henry was seven years old. The other children included: John F. age 17, Elizabeth A. age12; Susan age 10; Edmund was years old; and Alice age 2. Also with the family was sixty-nine year old Anna Green who was born in Virginia and Cashines (spelling) Blanton age 44 born in Kentucky.
In the 1860 U. S. Census (25 July 1860) [2] A. J. Green was the head of the household. She was fifty years old and had $5000 in real estate and $1000 in personal estate. She had no occupation listed. The children in the household included Susan B. age 18, Henry B. age 16, Edward M age 14, Alice R. age 10, Mattie B. and Robert G. were twins age 8. All of the children except Susan were attending school. Also in the household was Catherine Blanton age 56 and R. M. Sanders age 28 who was a laborer.
