Biography

"Maw Maw," as she was known by her grandchildren, was very fond of sewing, and made her own outfits, usually matching her shoes, hat and purse as well. She enjoyed sitting in her "breakfast room" looking out the window at the birds coming to the feeder and smoking her menthol cigarettes. She and her husband toured many countries and she collected dolls from each country showing their traditional dress. Her family's trips to Mexico in the 1950's are documented here. In her younger days she was a prominent member of the Waverly Club in Franklinton and was involved in many of their activities.
