John Greenhalgh was born in 1818, son of John Greenhalgh (1796–1876) and Mary Shaw (1797–1879). John Greenhalgh, child of John Greenhalgh & Mary Greenhalgh, was born on 25 December 1819 and baptised on 18 January 1823 in Tottington, St Anne, Lancashire, England.^{[1] [2] [3] [4]}
