Married Margaret Draper (daughter of Thomas Draper of Brodelsthom) about 1526 in Halifax, Yorkshire, England.
They may have had 3 sons: James, Thomas, and Robert.

His grandson, Rev. John Greenwood was executed in 1593 by Queen Elizabeth for promoting the use of spontaneous prayers instead of the Church of England Prayer Book.^[2]
